Terms of Use — BabyCare+

These Terms of Use govern your use of the BabyCare+ application (“we”, “the app”). By installing and using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. About the service
BabyCare+ is an Android application that helps parents, guardians, and caregivers log and track a baby’s daily activities (sleep, feeding, diapers, measurements, vaccines, reminders, etc.). Some records and features require an authenticated account via Google Sign-In.
2. Eligibility and account
- The app is intended for users aged 18 or older. See our Privacy Policy for details on minimum age.
- You are responsible for keeping your Google account confidential and for all activity carried out through it.
- You may invite other caregivers to share access to a baby’s records (“family members”). Each member can view and edit shared records, according to the feature’s permissions.
3. Acceptable use
By using the app, you agree to:
- Provide truthful information about yourself and the baby.
- Not use the app for unlawful purposes or to introduce offensive, defamatory content, or content that violates third-party rights.
- Not attempt to access other users’ data outside the family invitation mechanism.
- Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app’s source code, except where permitted by law.
4. User content
The data you enter (records, photos, notes) belongs to you. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service (syncing, sharing between family members, displaying the timeline). We do not claim ownership of your content.
5. Medical disclaimer
BabyCare+ is a logging and organisation tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional health advice. Information about vaccines, medications, weight, height, or temperature recorded in the app does not constitute medical recommendation. Always consult a pediatrician or qualified health professional for decisions about your baby’s health.
6. Advertising and free version
The app is free and supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. See section 5 of our Privacy Policy for details on data used for advertising.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the app in case of violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time using the “Delete account” feature within the app, or by following the process described in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from use of the app.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be notified via the app and/or email. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Brazilian law, without prejudice to the rights you may have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence (including LGPD/GDPR, as applicable).
